Bonmarché approached … but is it relevant? to project manage the launch of a new Venda online shop on an interim consultancy basis, supporting their internal team with the additional skillset needed to get the site up and running.

The client’s main objectives with the new site were to create a robust platform for future growth (through online and telephone ordering) and to display their products in a way that maximised appeal to the online audience, who want affordable, yet aspirational outfits for the 50+ age group.

Our aim, as always, was to launch a fabulous-looking site that makes it easy for customers with a specific product or type of product in mind to find what they are looking for, and for less single-minded customers to be inspired.

The site went live on time and on budget, with improved conversion and basket size over the previous site almost immediately. Econsultancy reviewed the site within a couple of days of going live and concluded that Bonmarché’s e-commerce relaunch shows an understanding of its target audience.

A second phase of implementation added new features including Bazaarvoice reviews and Venda’s outfit builder functionality.
