The FitFlop website was just 8 weeks from go-live with Venda when they found that they needed a new Project Manager and hired Elisabeth. No delay to launch was acceptable as a substantial amount of seasonal product was waiting to be sold; against the odds, the site was launched on time.

This was the first venture into eCommerce from this highly creative and successful footwear company, so there was no internal team in place ready to run with the site. Elisabeth was therefore asked to extend her contract and she led the online shop for most of its first year, which included merchandising, buying, resolving teething troubles with the fulfilment process and pretty much anything else that needed doing!

As well as making profit from selling products directly at a higher margin than via retailers and being a shop window for the full range, the site proved an incredibly useful learning tool. Detailed statistics on which new styles and colours were selling well could be produced within days of a product going on sale, providing a valuable input to new product design.
